So my work is in the oven and I’ve almost done with my shopping, so I thought, what would I like from dear old Santa.
A pair of lovely animal face mittens from Valerie at Harvest Moon. All made out of reclaimed wool sweaters and finished with vintage buttons. Just so, so cute. Oh yeah, got a pair all ready! But you still get me something else wonderful.

For all who read one of my previous blogs about Barbs Silhouette Boxes, they are available on-line through Middleburg’s etsy site! Yeah!
Click on this link to see today’s selection www.middleburg.etsy.com
For those who don’t know Barbs wonderful boxes, here are some details:
These wonderful little boxes are made by my friend Barb Kauffman at Hanway Mill House, she is an unbelievably talented artist. Many of you I’m sure saw Barb’s boxes featured in last August “Country Home” and are currently on the December cover of “Country Sampler”.
All hand-painted and hand-stenciled from Barb’s original cut stencils. Each box is painted, sanded, rubbed, stenciled and waxed finished for a perfectly aged look. Her colors are both historic and contemporary and fit into any decor. Trimmed in black on the box band, and silhouettes done in black make them true gems in any room. Grouped together they’re outstanding!
They are sensational as gift boxes for extra special gifts or just for yourself and each box comes signed, and dated by Barb!
All Barb’s wonderful boxes will soon be available through us at:

Now in the section “Friends of Middleburg” in Etsy www.middleburg.etsy.com
